Summary
We seek a dedicated Production Planner for our Burton-on-Trent site to optimise production and supply chain efficiency. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your role will involve utilising core skills in mechanical knowledge, quality control, SAP, ERP, and continuous improvement. Your role will enhance productivity and drive operational excellence in our manufacturing processes.
Description
Your main duties will include;
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and address delays.
- Oversee inventory, coordinating with procurement to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Communicate build plan performance, targets, and delays with the team.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Raise works orders and subcontract POs, factoring process time into planning.
- Track and report KPIs, including build plan adherence, downtime, and stock levels.
- Provide production forecasts and performance reports for strategic planning.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics for smooth operations.
- Additional duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have;
Proven manufacturing experience, managing resources to meet specifications (essential).
Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge (essential).
Advanced IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting (essential).
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, able to prioritise and make decisions (essential).
